Business was brought to a near strand still at the Kenyan-Tanzanian border in Namanga when a suspected Al Shabab terrorist was nabbed crossing to Tanzania from Kenya. The suspect, a Uganda national identified as Baluku Swaleh confessed to the Kenyan police for being linked to the Somalia based Al Shabab terrorist group.
Baluku who was arrested by Kenyan police in Kajiado County was found with bags containing series of documents linked to the Al Shabab terrorist group as he sneaked into the country via Kenya, through the Namanga border post.
Kajiado County Police said Baluku who was coming from the Kenyan capital Nairobi confessed when arrested. “When we arrested him he told us he had links with the Somali based Al Qaeda group. He also had in his possession, several photos showing the various murders orchestrated by the Al Shabab militants in Somalia,” said Kajiado CID commander Ngatia Iregi.
Ngatia said Baluku also had in his possession, a flag and a series of paraphernalia. He was remanded for two weeks and will appear in Kajiado court in next week.
