Victoria University Kampala organized a Uganda High Schools Sports Fair 2016 scheduled for 19thMarch 2016. The event driven on the Theme “Discover your talent” attracted over 50 Schools. This will be an annual scheduled landmark event, fully earmarked on Uganda High Schools & Colleges Sporting Calendar.
The Tournament was held at Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) Bukoto, Kampala on the Saturday 19th March 2016, starting 8.00am to 6.00pm.
35 Schools each bringing Students to support and total audience plus parents were approximately 1,200; Schools with both Girls’ and boys’ teams sent both teams in the respective Sporting activities; Competitions included Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball;
The Guest of Honor Dr. Stephen Robert Isabalija Vice Chancellor Victoria university commended the participating schools and said the tournament aims to identify and support talent from students.
He said the University through this kind of competitions is committed to promote a health living amongst students through sports, develop friendship and cooperation between the participating Schools, Develop good sportsmanship and behaviors amongst the players in schools. Interact and share experiences among students and to provide professional and career guidance to participating students.
