Presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has said 30 years is enough time for president Yoweri Museveni’s rule and urged the people of Koboko to see off Museveni as he retires peacefully come February 18.
Speaking at youth minister and Koboko Municipality MP aspirant Evelyn Anite’s strong hold Mbabazi reiterated his earlier remarks that time for change is now. He said he fell out with Museveni due to his failure to honor his promise and keep his word. “I told my elder brother that 30 years was enough service as president of Uganda but he agreed opting to stand again. I would not agree with such ideas,” said Mbabazi. He told rallies in west Nile that it was not proper to say that out of the over 35 million Ugandans only one person (Yoweri Museveni) had the vision to lead them as president.

Mbabazi today has rallies in Arua and Yumbe. Meanwhile business was halted in Lira district on Tuesday as multitudes of supporters gathered to hear the FDC presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye. Besigye lashed out at the NRM party for dishing out money in rural areas ahead of next week’s elections saying it was a recipe for economic disaster. “But the money they are dishing out is just part of what you pay as taxes. Eat it but vote wisely for change,” he said. Besigye today has rallies in Makindye and pockets of Kampala.
While Farmers Party candidate has rallies in Rukungiri, PDP flag contender Dr. Abed Bwanika is back in Amuria and Katakwi where he has told locals to vote for young and fresh blood like him and not tired and old guards.
